Live in Rhythm is the second release this year by Eastern Electric. A heavily reggae influenced track, this song emerges first as a statement of solidarity with the social and racial justice movement here in America and second, as a statement that with a true heart, one should need no pundit, politician, or otherwise to determine their own truth.

“You don’t need a doctor to tell when your eyes are open. You don’t need to raise your flag just to know which way the wind is blowin’. You don’t need no politician to tell you how you come correct. You just need a true heart beating strong in your chest…”

A heart beats in rhythm naturally. It is one of our most basic, unifying traits. However, this does not mean we all play the same part - it means that whatever our part is, we all stick together. On the most fundamental and significant levels, we are all together. We all bleed the same. We are all brothers and sisters.

Clendenen and bandmates Kyle Coffey (organ, melodica), Joseph Esham (Pedal Steel Guitar), Charlie Greenhalgh (Bass), and Dave Gladding (Drums, Percussion) are very happy to be joined by their good friend and very special guest, Ted Bowne of the far-traveled, heavily acclaimed rock-reggae group, Passafire. Their collaboration adds a whole new dimension to Eastern Electric’s gritty, roots-heavy sound.

Back to Muhlenberg marks the first new material released by Eastern Electric in several years.  Penned by band leader, Nate Clendenen in the days following legendary songwriter John Prine’s passing, the song is a heartfelt cry to all those who are suffering, struggling, or lonesome in these trying times. Beginning as an undeniable lament, the song ends with an uplifting affirmation that in our shared personal separation from our friends and loved ones, from anyone, from even our own selves, that "...We are all together no matter how far."

Rock and Roll punctuated by twang and grit, salt and sand, earth and ocean... Vol 1.

"Words Girls & Games - Vol 1" was released in 2016 from Maryland-based Roots Rock band, Eastern Electric. It is a collection of songs about precisely the title's subject matter... On the surface, they are songs of heartbreak. Dig a little deeper and these tracks offer optimism, wit, and candor in the face of that heartbreak.

Recording began in January 2016 in a studio just south of Baltimore, MD. An epic winter storm interrupted the initial sessions and ultimately prolonged the completion process until nearly a year later. But as the pieces gradually came together, like whiskey in a barrel, these tracks had the chance to age.

“Words Girls & Games - Vol 1” features 5 original tracks heavy on twang and grit. Plug in your favorite device... and turn that sh*t up!

Rock and Roll punctuated by twang and grit, salt and sand, earth and ocean... Volume 2.

"Words Girls & Games - Vol 2" was released in 2017 from Maryland-based Roots Rock band, Eastern Electric. It's predecessor, "...Vol 1", has more of a honky-tonk twang to it, while "...Vol 2" is a bit more rock oriented. Either way these tracks continue the theme of it's title.

“Words Girls & Games - Vol 2” features 6 original tracks heavy on twang and grit. Plug in your favorite device... and turn that sh*t up!
